Jennifer R. Russell
JENNIFER R. RUSSELL is an associate with the firm of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP. Her practice focuses in the area of employment litigation and counseling and commercial and defense litigation.
Ms. Russell has successfully defended employers facing discrimination and wrongful termination claims and has obtained summary judgment and dismissal of the claims against them. She has also successfully defended employers in unemployment compensation appeals. In addition to litigating the defense of state and federal employment claims, Ms. Russell has represented both employers and employees in employment contract disputes, including wrongful termination, breach of employment contracts and wage claims. Ms. Russell has also counseled corporate employers in the areas of day-to-day employment and management decisions, including compliance with state and federal discrimination, leave and wage and hour laws, and in drafting employment agreements, employee handbooks and separation agreements and releases.
Ms. Russell graduated cum laude from Duquesne University School of Law, where she was a member of the Women’s Law Association. She earned her undergraduate degree from Washington and Jefferson College and graduated with honors in English.
She is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Pennsylvania, including the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, where she is a member of the Commission on Women in the Profession, and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
Ms. Russell is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association. In addition, she is a soloist for the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, where she and her family are members, and for local weddings and other special events.
