Pamela G. Cochenour
PAMELA G. COCHENOUR is a partner of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP. She serves as Co-chair of the firm’s Employment Litigation and Counseling Practice Group.
Ms. Cochenour’s practice focuses in the area of employment litigation defense, representing both private and public sector employers before local, state and federal administrative agencies and in state and federal courts. Her litigation experience includes handling sexual harassment, gender, race, age and disability-based discrimination cases. Her practice also includes ERISA litigation, Fair Labor Standards Act litigation, appellate practice and all types of professional liability defense.
In addition to litigating the defense of employment discrimination claims, Ms. Cochenour regularly trains and counsels employers on establishing and maintaining effective employment risk management programs.
Matters representative of Ms. Cochenour’s practice include:
- Obtaining summary judgment for employers in disability, gender and race discrimination cases.
- Developing and providing training to management and frontline employees on harassment issues.
- Developing and providing training to managers on recognizing issues under and implementing policies to comply with the Family and Medical Leave Act and the amended Americans with Disabilities Act.
Ms. Cochenour is a frequent speaker to private employers and industry groups on such topics as employment discrimination, harassment investigations, FMLA and ADA compliance. She also appears on radio programs providing expert commentary on high-profile sexual misconduct cases.
Ms. Cochenour is a member of the board of directors of the National Kidney Foundation of the Alleghenies, Persad Center and the Renaissance City Choirs.
She received her law degree from the Duquesne University School of Law, where she was recognized for Excellence in the National Appellate Advocacy Competition. Ms. Cochenour received her B.A. degree, cum laude, from Seton Hill College.
Ms. Cochenour is licensed in Pennsylvania and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third and Sixth Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
